Central Park Is A Great Place To Find New York Entertainment
The city that never sleeps didn’t just get that reputation for the heck of it. Truly, it is a city that is always thriving and bustling, no matter what time of the day it is or what the weather happens to be. New York entertainment isn’t just something that you have to wonder about if you’re traveling there, it is a guarantee. Whether you’re looking for a Broadway show or a night club, New York entertainment has something that will suit people of all ages.
As a college student, I attended New York University, and am incredibly glad that I did. Living in New York was almost a surreal experience that I needed to add to my list of life adventures. Of course, at that age, I was into almost any kind of entertainment imaginable. As I quickly learned, some of the most common and enjoyable New York entertainment could be found around almost any corner. The elite shops that can be found in Manhattan might not be financially feasible, but if you’re into just walking through the shops and gawking at all of the price tags, it is something you shouldn’t pass by. Head into Tiffany’s to see all the glamorous jewelry that you wish you could afford. Take a stroll through Saks and watch the snobby salespeople watch every move you make. One of the most common stores to stroll through is F.A.O. Swartz. Kids of all ages will enjoy the floors of toys. Shopping in New York City is an experience all of its own and can be exhausting.
Of course, trying to cross the streets in the city can be a wonderful form of exercise and adventure. Some of the cars take hours to move a few blocks because of the large numbers of people that are walking. Watching people cross the streets with cars flying at them is a sight to see. There’s no wonder why so many people don’t need cars when they live in the city.
If culture is in your field of interest, there are lots of museums to be toured. Most of them don’t cost much to enter and you may find yourself spending hours inside of them enjoying the displays. If you’re a fan of some talk shows, your idea of New York entertainment may include sitting in the audience for the David Letterman show. Several shows take place and are filmed in the big city. I’d suggest finding out about details for audience members and tickets prior to embarking on your New York adventure to ensure that you can get tickets and know all of the details.
One of my personal favorites for New York entertainment is Central Park. Pull up a bench, watch the different people that stroll by, and be amazed at how much it seems like an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Take a carriage ride through the park or go ice skating. Enjoy yourself and know your destinations before you arrive in New York. You’ll soon discover why the city never sleeps.
